I have noticed this, too. Used to be I'd get 250 for small delays and 1000 for big delays. Now I get 250 no matter how long. I'm guessing with the crazy delays this summer they've had to cut back. I had a 30 minute delay yesterday but I was in FC so thought maybe they'd give more, but just got the email and it's still 250.

Appreciative of anything, of course.

I traveled two days in a row this week in Acela BC. Sunday I did PHL-BAL and it was 23 minutes late. Monday I did BAL-NYP and it was 33 minutes late. For that first trip they gave me 250 points. For the second, they gave me 1000. As I posted above, a week or so ago I did NYP-BAL in FC, was 30 minutes late, and got 250. It almost feels arbitrary.

NYP-WAS, last Sunday, delayed about 25 minutes, and got 250 points. Oddly the points were posted (emailed) about a half-hour after I completed the "survey" in which I specifically said that ontime performance remains a problem for Acela! Maybe I should have been more vociferous in my complaint in order to get 1000 points...

Would love it to be automatic. Was on a BOS-WAS Acela today and we had to swap trains with a NB Acela train that then went back south (while our old train went north). Never had that happen before and it was quite inconvenient having to pick up everything at a moment's notice and walk across the platform. Add to that the power outlet at my seat worked on the first train but not the second.

Of course, agreed that it would have been nice if you didn't have to do it at all.
Out of curiosity, did you consider flying this segment? BOS-WAS seems long enough that a flight would make at least as much sense.

My Acela BOS-NYP was 20 minutes late yesterday. I received an email today letting me know that 250 points would be deposited into my account for the inconvenience.
