Can someone confirm that the $100 food credit cannot be applied to tip but food & drink only?

Bellagio check in question ?

Can we use the invited guest line for check in for a regular paid FHR room ? (Not the lounge check in)
for some reasons I thought I have read here that we can.

Can confirm. Gratuities are not included, they will show up in your folio at checkout.

Was this posted somewhere? We have a one night FHR stay at Bellagio coming up right after Christmas where I intend on testing early check in, upgrades and late checkout. Initially I was going to try checking in with the app, but if it fails to acknowledge early check in or provide an upgraded room, Ill head to to the invited guests line to try that option unless another poster chimes in with a negative experience.

Still trying to figure out the best value for our $100 dining - initial thought was Lago if we can get patio seating with a fountain view, but want a backup plan in case we arrive and that option is denied.

There are several pre-pandemic reports that FHR guests used the Invited Guest check-in facility. More recently I find Questions about this but no definitive reports, though I could miss one if the poster did not use the same terminology as my search.

Some Comments
1) Check-In: messaged hotel via Amex to confirm 2:00pm check-in, checked-in via app, was notified at 1pm that my room was ready and my digital key was available. When I arrived, check-in line was easily 40 minutes long. Went to elevator with my digital key and accessed my room. Easy. Would I have gotten an upgrade if I waited in line, who knows? But I got 40 minutes of my time.
2) Food and Beverage Credit: went to lunch at Spago after dropping my stuff in my room. Bill was approx $53 plus tip. After returning later, checked via app, only charged for Spago tip. On check-out day, went to Eataly @ Park MGM (highly recommend), sat at Gran Milano bar and ordered wine/food. It was 3:57. Asked them to close out my bill. Checked out via app 1 minute later, only charged for Gran Milano tip.
3) Breakfast Credit: First day: used $43 at Sadelle's, $7.00 for latte at Cafe Gelato Second Day: Used $63 at Sadelle's, $7.00 at Bellagio Patesserie for latte

My take away is that Breakfast credits and Food and Beverage are automatic. Not driven by time of day, just by where you used it.

Made reservations at Sadelle's approx 10 days before. Line for non-reservations was INSANE.
Am I understanding this right that you got breakfast credits for both day if check in and day if checkout? I thought only one breakfast credit per night?

It's per night - so the OP probably meant the first morning.

However their post has me concerned about Sadelle's - I just tried to make a reservation and nothing is available after 630AM until the 2nd week of January. I am not interested in standing in line for 2 hrs waiting for breakfast. Can FHR use the invited guests or any priority line at a Bellagio restaurant or buffet?

Absent status? No, unless your room key has the VIP notation, e.g., Bellagio's VIP check in package.

Hotel: Cosmopolitan
Room: terrace 1 bdm fountain view
Checkin: 4:30pm (arrived 1:30pm, see comments)
Upgrade: slightly larger variant of booked room (2 full bath)
Late Checkout: accepted
Breakfast Credit: $75 daily.
Credits: $100 spa + $25 vesper bar (didn't use any)

Comment: Picked Cosmo only bcos some friends were staying here as well and also the lifetime nights. Arrived 1:30pm and checked in at the Autograph lounge. Was told room wasn't ready. Verbally explained FHR benefits but didn't mention upgrades or even provide the physical welcome letter. I politely asked about any other FHR (ie upgrades) & Bonvoy benefits (we're lowly Plats) and he replied that those were the benefits that he covered, to which I asked about FHR upgrades. He said that they're "fully booked" and there were none available (by the way I did notice some scrunched up $20 and $100 bills next to his keyboard). We left for lunch, 3pm rolls around and still no room. Called the concierge, they said it's best if we spoke to the FD. Came back at 3:30pm, spoke to a different FD person and he said that it's only 30 mins past normal check-in time like it's no big deal, and reiterated that no other room was available. At 4:10pm we were just tired of waiting so I spoke to a different FD person and told her I'll take any similar room at this point since we were fed up waiting, so she was able to get us a similar room without the partition (slightly larger main bathroom, also had a 2nd full bath). So it was an upgrade of some sort. She also provided the welcome letter and also explained the Bonvoy benefits at wicked spoon.

When we met our friends later, they said that they always pass $50 to the FD to get a better room (guess that explains the bills I saw next to the FD's keyboard?).

Bfast at The Henry was ok, (I would recommend reservations more than 24 hrs ahead unless you're flexible. 15 min lines at Eggslut, Starbucks. Sandwiches at Eggslut seemed better than the ones at Suns Out Buns Out (resorts world). Didn't bother with the $25 welcome drink. Also, the welcome letter explicitly states that the spa credit can only be used for services and not products so we skipped that as well.

Would we return? Maybe if it's still part of Marriott for a stays bump and it's a good enough rate and if we are planning to hit Marquee. Otherwise there's other FHR options with better service & predictable upgrades.

PS the regular check-in area was a zoo at peak hours.

Cosmopolitan seems inconsistent about FHR treatment. When I arrived in June, I proceeded directly to the Autograph Lounge based on the reports here. I was told by the Lounge desk that FHR doesn't let you check in there, and I had to go to the front desk.

I should have clarified, I did use the Autograph Lounge - my comment about the regular check-in lines was just an observation.

Also forgot to mention, self-checkout did not work. It had no name, no info. On the positive side, credits were all applied correctly.

Bellagio - FHR, December 12.

Friend had rooms comp'd at Caesars but I hadn't used two of my FHR yet so I booked a throwaway room at the Bellagio to use the food and breakfast credits. Hotel came in at about $190, so that was a wash. Only issue was resort fee.

Couldn't check in in the app for some reason so went to check in in person and didn't have to wait because MGM Gold (see more later). Palmed a $20 and asked if she could waive resort fee. Although reports say that it's almost impossible to waive resort fee with FHR booking these days, even with MGM Gold status, she was able to pull it off. Never did go up to the room (although I did joke with the other guys that if they needed some privacy for um "reasons", hey, extra room).

Anyway - next morning proudly walked two of the guys over for brunch at the buffet and walked right up through the Gold line. Only to find out I was no longer Gold. I guess Caesar Diamond no longer matches to MGM Gold. One dude (the one who comp'd us the rooms at Caesars) was Three Sevens or whatever at Caesars so HE got matched to MGM High Roller VIP Superstar status and HE got us right to the front of the line. Math worked out perfectly and used up the entire $160 with no problem. Kind of a dog and pony show, but I've done worse to save a buck.

Good trip. Highly recommend U2 at the Sphere.

Just odd because they said Breakfast #1 and breakfast #2, but yeah who knows.

I don't think FHR can use priority lines. Really hope MGM Gold will be easy to match with Bonvoy with the new m
partnership. I was able to get it with Hyatt previously.

Hotel: Palazzo
Room: Lowest 2 queen Standard Room
Checkin: 11am granted
Upgrade: No upgrade
Late Checkout: Denied, later granted when saw I was on fhr
Breakfast Credit: Could not use(see below).
Credits: $100 food credit

This was my worst FHR stay to date. It was so bad, I felt bad for employees. So I came in at 11am, systems are down, lines are at least 200 folks. FHR and VIP desks closed, only regular check in. 2 hours later, since systems are down they take down my cc details, and everything else(parking, 2nd guest etc), on a piece of paper. I am told their systems will be available after 8pm(I call this BS, who in their right might will have maintenance during daytime - smelled like another hack to me). So the lady tells me that she upgraded me to 1 bedroom King suite(5 level upgrade because i am with fhr) due to the super long wait. I get the key and go to the room on the 7th floor. Its a two queen lowest category room. I go down and tell the lady who apologizes profusely and goes to the back room(again system is down so she cannot tell which key belongs to what room - they tell her that in the back office). The manager comes out(Kai) and is super super rude with me telling me how upgrades are not guaranteed and that there are only 2 queen rooms available and how I should be happy with what I have received. After pointing out their failures(closed fhr/vip desks, and huge wait), he got aggressive and raised his voice.

In any case I took my keys and got to the room, I felt defeated. They promised me the welcome gift which is the bubbly(Its on the letter). I go to the room its not there. Call the front desk, they promise to bring it up. 3 hours later after some slots, i go to room still not there. Make another phone call, they apologize and tell me 30 mins and will be there. I go back after dinner after 4 more hours, still not there. I go out to see a friend and drop by the concierge. He apologizes and tells me they forgot(after 3 phone calls). He gives me the bubbly on the spot, no bags. He looks all over for 10 mins, cannot find a bag(so I lug the bottle with me around the resort - I get weird looks by everyone in the casino). Promises a chocolate spread because of all the troubles - never arrives.

Dinner, we tried to eat pizza at the Italian in the main square, and since their system is down, they just make 10 calls to front desk to tell them I am a guest but system is down. Manager comes to talk to me, and he also calls front desk. Since everything is on paper it literally takes them 30 mins just to verify that I am a guest.
On the next morning the French restaurant is closed, and so is the other alternative(the little coffee shop under the escalator). So now the only thing left is room service. I go to front desk and they tell me you have to order from room service. I call them, they tell me 2 hours wait. I call Front desk, of course super long wait. I walk downstairs to FD and tell them I can't order from the one place because its closed, the other one is closed as well(They claim water leak), and delivery is 2 hours. They tell me to go to Lux Cafe. Fine. I go there, wait in line, order to go, and we come to settling the bill, and surprise, we can't charge to the room because the system is down(cash or credit no exceptions). I ask to speak to mgr, he comes out and calls FD, they dont pick up the phone. I abandon breakfast altogether, enough is enough - 3 hours wasted!

I go to check out after 3pm and tell them about it, no apology, they offer to have the $65 credit applied to the dinner credit, I accept. All is good, I check out. Sadly systems down, and can't give me an invoice.

I was at Wynn 2 days later and decided to swing by and make sure everything is good(I have been charged the full amount on my cc by then). They print out the invoice - no dinner credit, no breakfast credit, no notes left. I had to explain everything again, and after 20 mins back and forth with management they issue me what was promised.

My friend that was with me told me that if that had happened at Wynn they would have comped the entire thing and given me 2 free nights, but not here. I really wanted to like them but they must be hurting for cash. Sent an email to their executive customer care, they promise a 2 day response, nothing until today(6 days after checkout), I do not expect a response tbh.
