Right - even if they offer "free delivery" there's generally still a *large* service charge.

Pretty much the only time I order through them is when I have this offer

I'm seeing the Caviar offer, but in an MR points flavor. Spend $40+ get 1k MR points. Up to 2x. They don't serve my area though.

Meh unless they can be sold at a profit. With my new Rose Goldy Amex I can make 2k MR pts for ~$5 simply by going to the grocery store

Can you clarify what you mean by "do not post as a transaction"?

I've definitely had a offer email (prematurely) trigger just off of preauth.

Making up the numbers here but the basic idea is the same: I'd already spent let's say $150 towards a $300 threshold, and then had a one night stay of $120 all-in. At check-in the hotel authorized like $170 to cover incidentals, and I immediately got the "congratulations you just used your offer" email. I ended up not charging anything to the room, so the final charge was still just $120. I (correctly) did not receive the offer credit, until my next stay put me over $300 for real.

Long story short, getting back to evor1's question, like anything else it would depend on how everything eventually posts to your account and from which merchant.

Gift Cards Count?

Does anyone know if gift card spend counts? Can I buy $150 in gift cards for Lawry's and have that qualify for the offer? Thanks!

The Lawry offer is: Spend $150 or more, get $45 back

The terms of the individual offer will mention if gift cards or online purchases are excluded. What do they say?

OFFER TERMS

Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Valid in-restaurant only. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 1 statement credit(s) per Card Member. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 11/21/2018, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.

I would assume the Valid in-restaurant only would then signify buying a gift card online is excluded?
