With this DP, both deals have about the same value. So I see no reason not to try both.
Yes, I take the savings codes to the customer service desk and say I'd like to combine them into one gift card.

Any data points on using a gift card purchased through the MPX app and paid with AMEX triggering the Google Express offer (or any offer)? I know the merchant category carries through. It would be nice to double dip 5x United miles at Bed Bath and Beyond and 2000 MR

I have an offer for $30 off $150 at Choice hotels. There's a hotel that works great in terms of location and price point for an upcoming trip, but with taxes the prepaid adds up to $147.20. Any suggestions for how to get up to $150? There's no room I can "upgrade" to, and the non-prepaid rate is about ~$170.

My stay is after the offer ends (11/25) so I'd be booking a prepaid rate to trigger the offer before it ends.
Perhaps I should wait a while for the rate to go up slightly over $150? Or is this unlikely to happen?

I would call the hotel and just kindly ask to be charged $150. Why would they say no?

I need to check these more frequently -- apparently since 10/2 and through 11/30:

$10 off single purchase of $30+ at Caviar, redeemable twice for $20 max benefit.

I mainly use Caviar for small purchases, but they sell gift cards...

AMEX GOLD - Red Door Spa Gift Ideas

Hi All,

Given that the holidays are coming up, I thought I'd share a juicy little deal floating around out there on amex gold at a really upscale spa.

Amex Offer: spend $175 on a gift card to Red Door Spa (many locations, check out http://www.thereddoor.com), get $55 back.

Red Door Spa: Spend $175 on a gift card, get a $25 gift certificate. Spend 275, get 50, spend 375, get 100.

If you go for the minimum 175, that alone is not bad - $200 worth of spa for $120. But if you're like me, and have set your spouse up with an additional gold card, you can make it better.

I went to the red door spa and asked for a $375 gift card, but had them split the charges over my two cards. BOOM! 375 + 100 gift certificate = 475 of spa for 265.

Now I'm an unashamed spa guy, but even if you're not into it it still makes a great gift.

There is a Alaska offer for 5000 points on $250 spend. Can I use this to buy gift card or buy flight ticket 60+days out and then cancel it for AS credit?

Excellent suggestion. It might be better to call Choice Hotels rather than the specific hotel, as I'd be making a nonrefundable booking through Choice, but I'll give it a try - can post my results if anyone is interested.

Please do post!
Being that it'd be such an oddball request, perhaps try using the excuse that it's a company expense, and if you don't meet a certain budget utilization level your division's budget will be slashed next year

On my Gold Business Rewards card, spend $100 at Staples and get 2,000 MR points. I don't see anything in the fine print that excludes gift cards. Am I missing something?

I have the same offer on my Platinum. It's online only, so no Amazon gift cards. Still some good choices, though.
