This is crap. .... What this is going to do is limit guests that you can bring in as already happened in the centurian and other clubs. If you want in, get a platinum card

Already a limit to guests, and some people don't have the opportunity to get a Platinum card for various reasons, though they have significant travel. Merry FT Christmas.

you guys are stealing. No different from shoplifting. If you want to get in, pay. If you want to meet up with another member, join.

So you all have a problem with stealing a pair of shoes from Macy's but it is ok to steal from AmEx. Plus the overcrowding has affected real members with restrictions on guests and hours.

So I don't have the money to buy a Hermes tie and I wear a tie every day. By your reasoning, it is ok for me to steal one off the rack.

If you dont like this thread, don't participate. I've offered to guest when I had a Plat before, now I just don't have one.

Plat entitles you to bring a guest, that's what a cardholder is paying for. No further restrictions. Nobody is stealing anything.
