Amex EveryDay 15000 MR points after $1000 in 3 months
The 15,000 MR points offer is still available via referral from someone who already has the card. See or ask for this in the discussion. Or look at the Amex referral page: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/amer...posting-3.html.
These are the direct links on americanexpress.com. I have not scoured the internet to seek better offers. Note that both offers include this standard language:
Quote:Opening the application link in a Private or Incognito browser window, and not supplying any information about existing accounts, should prevent American Express from identifying you as currently having a card during the application process. They can still instantly determine this using your Social Security number, but in practice this may not occur.
If we identify you as currently having an American Express Card account, you may not be eligible for this welcome bonus offer. This offer is also not available to applicants who have or have had this product.

Quote:**You can now do a product change from AMEX Blue to the regular fee free AMEX EveryDay card. Unsure about other AMEX products that you can change TO the EveryDay card** This would probably preclude you from receiving any sign-up bonus, but moving from the Blue to this card is a + for some.

NO ANNUAL FEE

Data point...
Just got denied tonight for the no fee verison with my app o rama. 750 Credit score, referenced to many inquiries (roughly 19 total on CR with about 4 in the last 6 months).
Called and it will go into manual review, doesnt seem promising.
Got all my other apps approved (5 others), even a second us airways card. Makes no sense why I was denied at all.

Applied for the Everyday Preferred while carrying a personal PRG. Used incognito browser. Linked accounts after the card arrived. Cancelled PRG (no retention offers), got my AF refunded (hit in March).
15,000 MR just posted approximately 2 business days after hitting 1k! So despite, "welcome bonus is only applicable for new applicants," I still got it while carrying a PRG at the time of approval.

How many credit card do you have with Amex? It seems thta AMEX have a limit of 4 credit card (not counting charge card). So if you already reach this limit, this could be the reason.Originally Posted by thebill0322

She already did a AOR week ago for 4 cards(no amex) all approved. What are the chances she gets approved applying with RSVP code?Originally Posted by JWEMTX
Darn, I should have held out then.

I believe I see the last 5 digits of the card but not the full number. But the phone rep can still find it?
only applied for the card over the weekend so it hasn't been received yet. i think usually amex cards arrive in around a week so you should have more than enough time to receive it and then link the accounts. phone reps were able to see the new card number immediately to link Originally Posted by Happy

I only have a green card with them (downgraded to from the 100k platinum). Only other card I have ever had was the base hilton card which has long since been cancelled...
They cited inquiries and recent debt (aka bought a house in September) Yet, in this round I have had chase approve me for another card, even though in January I was told I am at my max for CL from them. Another citi card, barlcays and BOA. All were fine with it.
I have not used the green card really(who would...), maybe that was the issue?

I think she should be safe. Amex is pretty easy going, in my experienceOriginally Posted by WoodenRobot

Sets up a bad incentive if that's the reason - okay, I'll cancel the card with the fees that I don't use so I can obtain a card with no fees that I want to use.Originally Posted by thebill0322

I think that someones have get their first statement for the product, I want to know that whether the 50% is based on total point (which mean you get 3*1.5=4.5 mr for grocery) earning or based on 1x point (which mean you only get 3+0.5=3.5 mr for grocery)?
