DON'T DO IT! I am a huge fan of Amex and rarely have problems with them but the Sign & Travel was a nightmare. I found the statements to be very confusing and I got rid of the service after only a couple of months. Just to be fair, I use the card for all of my business travel expenses so the large number of travel charges may have been part of the reason the statement was a mess. If you only charge a small number of travel expenses, it might not be so bad. I personally like Amex because I have to pay everything off at the end of a statement. It helps we keep my spending under control.

What everyone else said above - DON'T DO IT. I ended up cancelling it because it was more trouble than it's worth. It's a little like a quasi credit card situation for a charge card. Most people with charge cards are those who can/want to pay the balance off each month. Why the option to extend the credit on travel expenses? Just pay the whole amount off.
Internally at AMEX they can't handle the difference between the two.
STAY AWAY.
