How often for transfer bonus to BA?

I missed the 100% bonus transfer from AMEX MR to BA last April/May. Does anyone know how often Amex has bonus transfers to BA? Would 50% transfer be about the best offer lately or does anyone think the 100% will ever come back?

The 50% just ended a month ago so it might be a few months before they come out with another one. I don't know of anyway to predict when or how much, but odds are they will have something again at some point in the future.

Was there really a 100% bonus at one time? Biggest I've ever seen is 50% which recently ended. I would not expect to see higher than 50%, but I'm not an expert.

Any chance of a bonus before month end?

AMEX MR Experts,

I have 75K points that I need to transfer out before my Corporate Card is shut down at the end of June. I don't have any other Amex cards, and will not have one before July.

I heard somewhere that transfer bonuses are typically announced on the first and 15th of the month- is this true? Or should I wait a few more days before making the transfer (likely to Delta).

Thanks!

Combined several threads asking the same question, to which there is no definitive answer. While most bonuses begin and end on the first or last of a month there are exceptions. Since the BA bonus ended on 5.31.2012 there was a very brief JetBlue bonus.

Amex Mem rewards bonus to Starwood & Hilton

I see that transfers to Starwood are 25% off. So now 750 MR points = 333 SPG points. Was 1000 MR = 333.

There is a Hilton 25% discount too.

These are targeted offers, not available to everyone.

Amex mr transfer bonus coming ???

I really need to transfer my MR points to Delta but had been holding out for a transfer bonus like the ones from 2011. Anybody know if there is a transfer bonus coming any time soon ?

It is rumored that DL will implement a massive devaluation of the SkyPesos program this year. Given the flack AmEx got for running transfer bonuses to BA in the lead up to the devaluation via Avios, I suspect they won't be too keen to offer one to DL soon.

Since the rumored devaluation of SkyMiles is just that, I doubt AMEX is basing whether or not to offer transfer bonuses on it.

It's considerably more likely that DL is not fond of the idea of such bonuses, given the fact that their affinity cards cannot complete with the Premier Rewards Gold card (or really any MR card) when transfer bonuses are added to the mix. Also, the rumored devaluation is based on the fact that DL is concerned over their liability due to the large number of unused miles presently on the market. Not offering bonuses would also help control this issue.

I think the assumption is that American Express could know Delta's plans. They wouldn't be acting based on rumor. However, I think it's more likely that Delta and American Express agreed that the frequency of transfer bonuses had reached the point where the offers were no longer perceived as bonuses, but rather as recurring events.
