still waiting on reimbursement.... with these gift cards, it seems you have to call US to make a reservation. do they charge a fee for calling their agents to use the gift cards (vs. online booking where there's no fee)?

It's true -- you have to call because GCs can't be redeemed online. I was not charged a telephone booking fee.

$200 airline fee reimbursement reports: US only
Same as everyone above. Last year (2011) ordered three $50 cards on separate orders, paying $15 shipping on each. AX posted credit three times of $65 each. Got smart this year and requested two $100 gift cards under one order. Cards received within two days and billed to AX $215. Two days later received credit of $200 to AX. Used gift cards for USAir flight, booked by phone with no surcharges, and only glitch was that it took agent a few minutes to "combine cards" so I could apply $200 to ticket of $800+. This benefit, plus all the times I have used the USAir clubs, has made the card well worth the annual fee.

I'm sure there is an answer on this, but it's hard to find because I'm not sure of the right way to search it.
I have used $150 in credit with a change fee. I need to pay another change fee of $150. Is there a way to get $50 credit? I can't see a way to break up the fee into separate charges. Will Amex do a partial credit on a fee above the amount you have left?
