I have merged your question into the established discussion of using this benefit with US Airways. Scroll back to post #10 to begin reading discussions of using the benefit for the trial program. Keep reading, there are mixed reports.

Correct, the $200 fee reimbursement is calendar year-based and starts over in Jan.

Has anyone tried buying club passes online? I may do that if I don't use the credit at the airport. I just wonder if the charge appears as us airways club or just us airways?

I also posted in the USAir Divided Miles area but this data applies here.....

Recently signed up for the USAir Gold Preferred Trial and was reimbursed $200. Took about 3 weeks and no phone call was necessary. Been meaning to call / check but just forgot. So - this was a pleasant surprise....

It's getting close to the end of the calendar year so I need to use the remaining US credit.

Is the Gift Card option still working? Any recent experience?

Can you use the gift card if you have to book a flight over the phone?

Today I received the credit for my remaining balance ($155) after purchasing $150 (+$15 shipping) worth of Gift Cards. It took about two weeks to show up.

I am positive you can, I don't see why not. I actually think it is the only way if you want to combine two gift cards.

I paid $125 for an upgrade at online check-in with hopes it would be reimbursed based on at least one person's results. The charge posted but with this in the detail:

Document Type: UPGRADE CHARGE

Also it was my wife's card and my name is on the charge detail. My hopes of reimbursement are very low now.

Gift cards still work

Bought 2x$100 (plus $15 shipping) on 12/5. The $200 credit appeared the 7th. No fuss, no calls, no waiting ^
