$39 for United Club (RCC) one-time pass followed a few days later with $161 (of $375 fee) for United Club annual membership. Both were automatically credited to my Amex account a few days after the charges posted.

Note -- you can save $50 ($11 more than you spend) on the United Club annual membership buying a $39 pass on-line and within 30 days buy the annual membership on-line. UA gives you a $50 credit on the annual fees even though you only paid $39.

CO $100 GC

Got reimbursed today (1/20) for a $100 GC purchased on Monday (1/16).

Does anyone know if the name on the GC has to match the name of the ticket purchaser? Or can anyone use the GC number towards a ticket?

Does the CO lounge at EWR offer day passes? Is it any good?

Just got paid back for an upgrade

I didn't think that was going to happen (and didn't expect/plan on it.) I paid for an upgrade at check in on my IAH-PHI last week. (Lots of non-relivant reasons why I chose to pay.) It was $239 and the $200 rebate just showed up.

I guess I don't need to worry about again it until 2013. :)

Reimbursement Effectively a Statement Credit

I recently purchased and then canceled within 24 hours a close-in reward reservation on CO, for miles + $60 in fees/taxes. After canceling the itinerary, the CO refund of $60 posted a day later (I had to call a week later to get the miles back as they didn't get refunded properly). However, the very next day, I was credited with $60 from Amex for the airline fee reimbursement. The statement has now closed and no further adjustments have been made. Ended up getting $60 in reimbursement credit for fees that had already been refunded to me. Contemplating trying it again to use up the remainder of my reimbursement for the year.

Many thanks for the tips everyone! My $99 Co Gift Certificate was credited after 2 days. I'll put through credit #2, but now I wish I had gone for a single $200 credit!
