There’s no arrivals lounge at LAX, and you’re not departing on another oneworld operating flight. You’ll have no airside nor lounge access at LAX.

We’ll merge this into the existing NRT Lounge thread.

AA lounge for shower, JL for food. If you have the time, try out both. Otherwise JL. (I agree that CX in NRT is nothing special.)

Needless to say, you may have to do some on-the-spot thinking. For example, if you arrive and find a particular lounge too crowded for whatever reason, then go to one of the others.

NOTE: The Narita Admirals Club will close March 2020. Club members will have access to the JL Sakura Business lounge, and AA flyers qualifying for lounge access by status or class of service still have access to the oneworld airline lounges (CX, JL).

Admirals Club Narita Arrival

Hi, I will be flying into Narita from LAX tomorrow. I'm arriving in Term 2 and I see the Admirals club is also located in Term 2. Does anyone know if I can access the lounge without needing a departure ticket? Can I access the lounge without exiting security? Thanks so much!

Upon arrival at NRT you will pass through passport control and customs, after which you'll be landside. Haven't tried this at NRT, but usually it's not possible to get back airside with an inbound boarding pass.

In fact, the AA web site says:

International arriving passengers must have a valid, same-day ticket for departure permitting access through Security.

No and no, without an onward boarding pass you will be forced to exit landside through immigration/customs and will not have access to the Admirals Club.

Here is the dedicated thread on the NRT AC...

This is pretty much the same for any international arrival without an onward connection where the lounge is behind security.

Last year we flew into Chile and was happy to see that we could access the Admirals Club when we arrived (without leaving security). We were hoping other club locations were similar.

If you're looking for showers after an early morning arrival, there are some relatively cheap public ones in the lower levels of NRT near the train stations.

Very few airports mix departing and arriving passengers (most of SIN T1-T3 and KUL T1 being the main exceptions)

Very few Clubs (if any) are located airside landside and most international airports will not allow airside access if you’re arriving, required to complete immigration and customs and do not have a connecting flight.

Totally understand. Unfortunately, with the exception of a few Latin/South American countries, most countries do not allow airside access upon arrival. For example, when I visited Panama, you just exited the plane into the normal concourse and followed the signs to customs/immigration. That is the exception rather than the rule.

If you just need a shower, https://ninehours.co.jp/narita/ is reasonable (1000 JPY) and easy.

Do you mean landside for the clubs? Except for arrival lounges, aren't the vast majority of clubs airside?

Yep, thanks. Corrected.
