As someone who earns a lot by flying business fares on JL, I am always watching these announcements to see if partner earnings are devalued. So far, the website is still showing the same earnings moving forward. I am hoping that the earnings charts will remain the same for next year as well.

I'm in the same boa, although a lot more of my TATLs are on BA, which prevent me from using them (not wasting on PE) - I find their Y seats keep my backside a bit more cooler/comfortable during the flight. I still find myself limiting which flights I'll request them on to at least 8 hour flight time (9 hour block time).

If I hadn't cleared at least one flight on my last trip, I was thinking about choosing something other than SWUs for my 250k rewards that have been sitting unclaimed in my account for a few months now.

I found myself giving them away so much that I switched to the miles option as soon as it was possible. I have a couple of longer trips coming up and still don't know that they are worth risking the usability. If I flew long haul more often, it might be a different equation.
BTW, I like the three bags with EXP. Moved my daughter cross county on a single PNR...9 large suitcases!

I suspect they aren't moving the tiers because the vast majority of people racking up a ton of LPs are not frequent fliers (5 or fewer RT's per year) so their status level has minimal impact on AA's flight ops/cust service resources. Additionally, I would venture to guess they are also more likely to redeem their LPs at inflated valuations compared to somebody who flies dozens of flights per year.

4.1 million here. Very interested to see if I get PP since 40%ish were CC. I have been booking UA and DL but this might make me come back. Just FYI there wasnt a 4 mm when I hit the badge button.

Someone please remind me how the MM program works now - I can't find the details on AA.com.
Is it 1 LP = 1 MM? It used to only be BIS miles for a period of several years prior to LP's, right?

New AA Policies!
Thrilled after all of these years of the new AAdvantage policies - I just cleared 6M lifetime miles and hated the fact that you only got Platinum Lifetime -- this is a huge benefit change --
Enjoy higher status with select Million Miler levels. To reward the loyalty of our most frequent fliers, were adding new lifetime status levels starting March 1, 2025:
*For the life of the AAdvantage Platinum Pro or AAdvantage Executive Platinum programs.

It's based on BIS miles for spend based flights, otherwise a percentage of distance flown on non spend based partner flights. LPs don't count towards it

LP's, while they count for certain levels, Lifetime status is only attainable via BIS.

MM is based on actual miles flown, no bonuses. However, some years ago (~8 years), it used to be miles earned including bonus miles and credit spend. Sadly, back then I didn't use a credit card.

I wish the new lifetime tiers were 3M and 4M, with it being BIS (butt-in-seat) miles, I'm only netting just over 100k per year, and I hope to retire at some point in my life. I'd love lifetime emerald for intl lounge access when I'm retired.
