My daughter recently applied and interviewed for a FA position. She had previously worked in the mall where she was incentivized to hawk the store credit cards at the register .... I told her to be sure to mention this experience when interviewing for the FA position. Of course, she got a job offer on the spot lol

Credit Card sales pitch

On my flight today the flight attendant made 3 announcements about the Aviator Master Card and all
the benefits. On an early morning flight many like to sleep so it’s a bit annoying. Why not make the sales pitch at the gate they could make a brief announcement during the flight and also
have applications available. It was great flight and nice service.

They're not supposed to do them between 8pm and 8am, but still do. Plus they love giving wrong/bad info, especially regarding how far miles will really go these days.

Just curious about how much a flight attendant receives when someone applies using their 6 digit number.

I think it's $50, or the price of two inflight beverages.

I'm getting tired of credit card pitches. Where in the fares rules do they disclose that we will be exposed to commercial announcements? I prefer tickets without commercials. Maybe they can offer discounted fare classes that include a timeshare pitch.

Let me guess, the flight was too short/turbulent to do a full beverage service but not too short for 3 CC pitches?

Only Citi can be pitched inside the airport and clubs. Barclays can only be pitched inflight. This was the agreement that came shortly after the merger with US Air.
