11/1 AA2995 JFK-MEX: Water or OJ
11/6 AA2415 MEX-MIA: Water or OJ 11/6 AA1357 MIA-JFK: Water or OJ |
10/29: EYW-CLT: None (quick turn, they made us line up outside on the ramp against the temporary fence before the inbound flight was even done deplaning, could tell the crew was not happy)
11/1: BNA-CLT: Water only after door closed 11/4: CLT-MIA: Water only 11/5: MIA-CLT on a B777 in front cabin: Not only complete choice, but offered snack basket and refills before take-off followed by pretty much non-stop service in the air. Probably the best approx 2 hour flight I've had year to date. 11/5: CLT-DCA: Was in 8C, but First got nothing. The flight attendants were decked out in probably max amount of protective gear AA allows... like scientists in a zombie movie. 11/5: DCA-CLT: None. Delayed flight and last minute swap to an inbound plane. Catering was on during boarding. |
2 Nov - MCO to MIA - tray of water AND full PDB, friendly and outstanding crew again !!
|
PHL-LAS Oct 20 7:28pm - No PDB offered. No explanation, no apology.
LAS-PHL Oct 24 10:40am - No PDB offered. Apologized, said it was because catering was late. |
11/8 FAY-CLT: (AA Eagle EMB-145) All coach but while waiting for logbook signatures the F/A gave everyone water
11/8: CLT-MCO: Full PDB offering. |
AA 765 PHL - PHX. No PDB. Do they even still do this????
😡 |
7 Nov AA2785 LAX-LAS Open bar for PDB
9 Nov AA739 LAS-LAX No PDB offered. |
11/4 PHX-GDL got a can of Coke. Too early for me to ask for booze lol
|
|
11/07/23 - BNA-DFW: Choice of PDB from the full beverage selection. it seemed most of the cabin opted for sparkling wine. Three passes of the drink service in flight.
11/07/23 - DFW-DTW: Choice of water or orange juice. One pass of the the drink service through the entire flight (with the meal only). No refills were offered to anyone in my sight. The flight attendant actually grabbed my empty glass out of my hand and kept on trucking down the aisle about an hour and a half in, without a word. Perhaps she had thought I had enough diet coke. |
Mainline 321: Full PDB during boarding
Eagle/Piedmont CR9: Full PDB during boarding Eagle/Piedmont CR9: Informed after boarding that we're going to have a bumpy ride, so full PDB with doubles (in plastic cups) to tide us over through takeoff and short flight Mainline 321: Juice/water/anything else for 6 passengers at end of boarding. (Then flight attendant got distracted when passenger behind me started asking about why there was an empty seat in F and why her husband wasn't moved up even though he was next on the list. Pax wasn't wrong, but kept pestering even though FA said that GA is responsible for processing the upgrades. By the time FA dealt with the upgrade situation, no more time to do PDBs for the rest of the cabin, which was OK by me...got prompt service once we were airborne.) |
Just saw a news post on one of the travel blogs about some flyer complaining that they saw a flight attendant pour the unused OJ's back into the main container. I have no issue with this. But I do have issues with PDBs lately! It's ALWAYS either none, or water and OJ. What happened to the pre-flight COCKTAIL or Champagne? In boarding group one sometimes you sit there for a good 45 minutes, only for them to come through with OJ or water 10 minutes before take off. That's not what a PDB is supposed to be, or was...

Agreed. Maybe AA is trying to mimic UA where it's usually only water or OJ (supposed to also be sparkling wine, I believe, but I've only had that twice in the last 2 years)
1.) Widebody - no excuse to not do a full offering 2.) Narrowbody boarding on time - no excuse to not do a full offering. If delayed, tray of water/sparking/whatever. 3.) Eagle on a quick turn where we board 20 minutes to departure - water after door close is appreciated and I think most do this, and it's reasonable |
DCA-ORD, water and oj but ran out of water when it got back to me and other stuff came up so no water for me.
