Combine Record Locators?
Anyone know if its possible to combine record locators from a paid ticket and a reward ticket? I'm buying tickets for my parents via miles and ours through cash and would like to combine if possible because my parents are very rusty when it comes to travel.
Buying them pretty far out because of web special awards and I'm willing to bet the flights get moved around a few times before now and 2022...

No, it's not possible to combine PNR's like that or have 2 pax on a paid fare and 2 pax on an award on the same PNR.
If/when schedule changes happen, just call AA and tell them you're traveling with companions on different records, they will make sure you're rebooked on the same options.
