Guessing no.Probably! While it's hard to make an educated guess without actually seeing the leading edge of the wing, based on just the video, I'd be surprised if the wing has to be completely replaced. Guessing some minor structural repairs in that area, new LE slats, etc.
Interesting that the tall light pole is so frangible. Did you see how easily and cleanly the thing came down? Certainly minimizes structural damage to the aircraft.
N834NN is reported to be the ship in question. Shall we set an over/under line on when N834NN takes to the skies again?

Probably intentionally so. Rather have the relatively cheap thing fall away when it gets bumped rather than the thing with 100+ passengers shearing off a wing. The plane was likely still flyable (if the situation was different and demanded it be able to get in the air).

No doubt that it’s fixable if they want to. I think it will really depend on whether there is damage to the spar or not. If there is, it might be more economical to part out.

I did a few days work experience at the ATC tower at GLA when in high school. The ground controller joked that as the Aer Lingus pilots were on a punctuality bonus, they would hare down the the taxiway so quickly, that they were convinced that forward pressure was required on the yoke to keep the nose on the ground! 😀

It's a 2010 bird so unless the damage is extremely bad they're going to fix it, wouldn't be the case if this was one of the late 1990/early 2000 ones on their way out. I know years ago a Delta MD88 hit a pole at BNA and they repaired it.

Nope, meant Endeavor.
A pilot that knocked down a light pole would fit right in. 😂
They’ve had their fair share of incidents and infractions in the past, including FAA fining them over $1 million for allegedly operating two Canadair Regional Jets in 2009 and 2010 that were not in compliance with FAA regulations.

Doesn’t look great, but hard to tell if there’s any structural damage.
