SimplyMiles and earning AAdvantage miles - Scam? Good? Bad?

For me it is a mixed bag. Transactions from 12/12 and 12/13 have posted as expected. My transaction from 12/14 done at 12:30-ish AM ET (only 30 mins into the day many, many hours before the first banner appeared on SM website) only posted as 40x. I have the screen captures for everything so I''ll pursue that one. Basically what I am seeing aligns with what the earlier banner then taken down said which was anything before 12/14 would be honored.

Similar for me. Two 12/12 transactions are good, but an ~8am EST transaction from 12/14 hasn't. They said anything up to 10am CST on 12/14 would be honored (https://viewfromthewing.com/huge-aad...0-0042-apiece/) so my guess is they may need to go through manually to verify which transactions meet that cutoff and those will just be a bit delayed. But I guess we'll see what happens.

That is a good point I forgot about that. Fingers crossed. I don't think you can file a complaint for 15 days anyway with them. I am happy to wait more days to see what shakes loose.

I just checked my SimplyMiles account and it shows I got all bonus miles but AA.com doesn't show it yet.

Also seeing all of my miles showing up on SimplyMiles. Nothing in AAL yet. Very promising though!

I saw the 40x post on SimplyMiles, then it disappeared from my account.

I’m assuming it is going under some manual review, and will be fixed… hopefully…

My donation was very early in the morning on the 14th.
