I was on 16L yesterday on my HKG-LAX and here are some photos.
Quick observations:
- 16 A and 16L (windows) are in my opinion, the best seats on PE on the 77W:
- Great leg room. I placed my carry-on in front as an ottoman after take-off. I slept much better with my legs straight and extended.
- The foot rest is not useful as it doesn't extend all the way. The ottoman is the way to go.
- No bathroom smells.
- The 16 aisles see more traffic as people tend to wait right in front. My "ottoman" prevented people from standing there.
- The 16 middle section is OK but people often cross over.
- Good sized pillow + blanked, ammenity kit and slippers
- Magazine rack on the wall was my extra storage space. Perfect for hanging my glasses. Also note my "bottle holder" on the picture below.
No protruding door.
My water bottle holder... Magazine holder stretches a little so it fts more stuff.

PE seats experience on 777W
1. 16H - plenty of leg room - better than regular aisle PE seats
2. Received a good wide pillow and blanket than typical economy along with a small amenity kit, probably the same as the PE amenities.
3. Economy meal in plastic packging - hopefully will be better with PE catering. I have had pretty decent PE meals on china from Europe.

- A menu is given to you showing the options of food/beverages prior to take-off.
- Was offered newspaper but I think it was left over from J. Not sure if standard for PE.
- An ammenity kit is given out with socks, toothbrush, eye mask, ear plugs and lotions.
- Slippers were given to HK flights. Not sure if for other flights.
- The food is in slightly bigger portions and is also served with real forks, knives and glass plates. Cups are still plastic.
- I missed both mid flight snacks but were some kind of boxed pastry and ice cream.
- The FAs assigned to the PE cabin were also from Y but I saw J crew going back and forth. Not sure about that.
- Generally speaking, I've had great service from LA based crew in Y or J so it was the same in PE.
