Scary stuff. Confined space fires are serious matters and when you can't get off, deadly.

When I brief crew on sailing trips it goes like this..

How many here know how to use a fire extinguisher?
Usually get half of crew, including me.

How many have training on confined space fire suppression?

No hands.

If there is a fire, we muster on the bow and abandon ship. A fiberglass ship is roughly 10000 pounds of oil.
