At this point I've stopped expecting any food or edible snack on anything other than a mid-day transcon. The hummus is barely palatable and the cheese they serve seems like it came from the reject pile at the local public school's cafeteria.

Hi Greg, Thank you. I realize that but feel it stinks because everyone should be treated the same. Not just "exceptions." ORD NYC is an exception too.

Ran into this on the LAX-CLT redeye earlier this week. I knew it was coming, just cookies and nuts, but still not my favorite. A 5 hour flight is a 5 hour flight. I always find myself on these non "sacred" transcons...SEA-PHL, LAX-CLT, etc. Can't AA just pretend that they touch JFK and thus are worthy of a meal??? And while I'm whining, I wouldn't mind some decent equipment either...

I actually kind of agree with the earlier poster about the (slight) preference of the 'snack basket' - because at least there was the option of something a bit more substantial. Although in neither case are we getting anything good.

I just experienced this, on a revenue FC ticket no less, it was pretty cheep. I'd prefer a snack basket like DL and UA do. Or, at least BoB still available.
