When did u earned the 15kEQM? 2016 then it means nothing for the moment and will reset end of Feb 2017. U need to earn 25k for GLD, 50k for PLT, & 100k for EXP in the same calendar year. The only shortcut is spending $40k on the Citibank World Elite card, that will give u 10k EQM. Miles earned have an expiration of 18 month in case of non activity in the account. I believe AA is not shifting the end until 2018. To quote from their 2016 "AAdvantage program updates" page: "The membership year is also changing. Beginning with the 2017 membership year, elite status will be valid through January 31 of the following year."

One month. From February 28th/29th to January 31st. These days miles can be assumed to post faster so the 2-month grace period is an anachronism.
