AA used to send out new luggage tags every time you crossed a MM marker. Now post-merger, no one knows if this will continue.

Your local AA station manager could probably do something. If I can get a birthday cake as a no-status award pax on SQ, I think they might be able to make some kind of small gesture at the gate.

I'd try tweeting at AA and requesting a Direct Message conversation with them. The social media team there is fantastic and I'd bet they'd be a pretty good place to start.
