The Duchess of York (Sarah Ferguson), AA56, MIA-LHR.

Sam Fox, AA57, LHR-MIA. (Page 3 topless model!)

My favourite was Bob Crandall, AA51, LGW-DFW.

Leo Sayer, AA1936, LAX-SFO. (Dodgy 70's singing bloke)

samantha Fox, now that is a name to conjour with! Did you know that when she 'retired' The Sun wrote "Thanks for the Mammories". Leo Sayer was managed by Adam Faith.

My List? Oh, we had Bo Derrick & Vivian Westwood on AA137 LAX-LHR. since LAC is one of our main destinations, I shall be on the lookout for that famous celebrity of the skies 777Brit. Which newspaper did you pose for? I won't tell. Honest.

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gifDidn't she try a singing career for a while?

Carol Burnett was the only one I've encountered on an AA flight.

LGA - ORD: John McEnroe

No, he didn't break anything or assault the gate agent.

idainc Sep 4, 2002 7:46 am

Julie Andrews AA130 JFK-LAX and Simon ( critic on Idol ) same flight.

MedEdGuy Sep 4, 2002 7:55 am

Sat next to Dennis Quaid from LAX-JFK, who brought his own chicken fingers for dinner instead of dining on the AA fare.

And also sat across from Casey Affleck and his girlfriend on an LAX-EWR flight....

Molly Shannon....once in Business, Once in Premium.

Donna Hanover....was allowed to board first with her kids and three body guards. Was seated in coach but they gave her & the daughter the crew rest seats on the 767.

Peter Boyle (Who did not watch the "Eveybody loves Raymond" on the screen)

Mrs. Brady (Florence Henderson) who talks your ear off!

Deborah Norville (Big drinker that day!) Who got her pre-departure drink in a glass...the rest of us got the plastic!

Joan Lunden...who sat next to me. I did not recognize her and asked her to switch seats with my friend so we could sit next to each other. She moved and then I wanted her to move back!!!

Does anyone know if only celebrities qualify for Special Services--pre/post-boarding star treatment such as being escorted by a "red jacket" individual to/from the plane, being met by an electric car for gate transfers, having the plane held for your arrival, etc. just to name a few of the perks I've witnessed personally? If not, where/how do we sign up?

underdunk Sep 4, 2002 8:46 am

I sat behind Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgewick and their two children in J from LHR to EWR last year. They did appear to receive special service, in that they were the last to board, mere seconds before the door closed.
