Standard offer for those who had status, did not qualify.

You already are ExecPlat, no? And you got the DEQMs for flights during November and December didn't you? I didn't get any offers this year, but I can live without them in my annual quest to requalify for top tier elite.

The topic of registering for promotions you are not targeted for comes up every couple months on this forum. I've yet to see a single case of someone who was not targeted get the benefits. I would not hold your breath. Look at this promo from exactly a year ago where lots of FTers registered, and not a single one came back to report success:

I wonder if that was comped EXP and the challenge terms were not fulfilled. badjuju lists himself as a 1MM EXP in his profile. Could the EXP have come from UA status? badjuju, can you clarify?

I just called AA asking for the status of this promotion.
I got email and registered for Gold membership, still showing 'member' on my profile.
They answered I need to wait 7 business days till I see my 'gold' membership on there system.
I even said I am going to fly on AA this weekend, however he said no.
I have to wait.....

Why? His wife has no status. It is not a standard policy for AA to give status to the spouses EXPs. This offer was targeted to specific people. Company do this quite a bit. AA customer service can't just give out status to anyone simply because some people got an offer.

Same here. Oddly, I am unable to select any preferred seats for upcoming trips that I have booked, nor request upgrades. It just gives me error messages on everything. I will try again later in the day and if it still seems unresolved I will remove then re-insert my AAdvantage # via reservations.
