Luggage transit at NRT for ANA flights

My flight NH11 from Chicago will arrive NRT around 3:00 afternoon local time. My next flight is NH919 at NRT next morning to Shanghai. Will I need to get my checked luggage at NRT upon arrival and check in again next day? Both flights are on the same ticket. Thanks!

They should normally just check them through. Just ask the staff at the checkin counter to make sure. I had a similar situation and remember there was no problem with checking this through.

Within 24 hours should be fine.

But the passenger will need to go through immigration and enter Japan as the terminal is not open overnight.

My recent experience in Tokyo is we need to complete the immigration and pickup the luggage and drop it for the next flight. (we can do immediately). My experience is in Haneda for ANA domestic connection

Thank you kyotoben, CPH-flyer, and newplay for the information. I know I need to go through immigration. But just hope I dont need to pick up the luggage as both mines are international flights.

International to domestic is a different flow from international to international. It is not a reference point for the question asked
