Can they please pull the 737-400 seats out of storage and put them in the -800s, -9, and -900s pretty please!

Awesome, so we’ll keep an eye out for -800s at GSO as an indication for cabin mods. The -800s have always had a funky smell to me. Hopefully the new carpet, etc will help

Looks like Weebly is now tracking this more explicitly. Did this thread prompt that? Rather than just a nebulous "Maintenance @ GSO", I now see the status of N559AS as "Cabin Mods @ GSO" (and also N512AS as "2Ku Mod @ SAT"). N563AS and N579AS are still "Maintenance @ GSO", so not sure if they're just there for routine maintenance or perhaps they're in the queue for cabin mods after N559AS?

The home page seems to have also been updated to call out the cabin refresh. There's now a dedicated "737-800 Cabin Refresh" section summarizing progress, as well as a "Cabin Mods" section to the right of "Recent Updates".

First Class is staying with 12 seats? Was hoping they'd add a row

Any updates on 559? I know it entered cabin mods back in mid august, any idea on when we'll see it back in service?

The -700s also got the space saver lavs during their refresh—is that also planned for the 800s?

Any updates on how this is progressing? The weebly website has had the same tail number at GSO for the refresh for several weeks.

Yeah, I've wondered about that. Thought maybe the carpeted missing triangles on the bulkhead might be contributing. You don't get it on the MAXes with the newer, non-carpet bulkheads.

with all refreshes - there are regulatory issues to deal with and unforeseen challenges when retrofitting a cabin for the first time. Clearances are off, things needing to be addressed pops up not taken into account in the mock up. I’m not surprised it’s taking a while.

I second this. While digging around on AFA's website it mentioned the first retrofitted -800 would be in service in mid 2023 or sooner.
