I thought the cod was...fine? To me it seemed mildly flavored and the cod was cooked well and not dry. Overall, it tasted like a lighter/healthier meal. Also, mine definitely looked less black than the one in gold10829's post. Our F/A also wrote different quotes for each of our meals which I thought was interesting.

No plated dessert meant the cookies came out, which ended up being southern toffee with nuts (maybe pecans?), and as expected, delicious.

It was pretty decent tho unremarkable and came with a lemon meringue tart. Service was very good and professional with a pass of the snack basket around an hour out of DCA.

This was my first transcon since COVID, but things mostly seemed normal except the coffee was in paper cups. My wife and I pre-ordered the kale bowl, which we both thought was pretty tasty. My neighbor had the onion frittata, I passed on that as I hate onions but it also looked pretty good. My son pre-ordered the fruit and cheese plate, which came with yogurt. There was one pass of the snack basket about an hour before landing; I selected the pea-toes based on reviews here and was not let down. We landed around an hour early due to favorable winds, all in all a very smooth flight although JFK Terminal 1 is pretty sad these days.

I was hesitant but tried the Bahn-mi. It was OK. The pickled slaw and Sriracha really made the sandwich. The bread was a bit too thick and some small bits were very soggy. Also, the banhmi had this sauce (Sriracha mayo???) that didn't really belong in a banhmi, imo. Overall though, it was fine. I woke up hungover that day so the carby bread was really appreciated. 😂

This was MUCH tastier than it looked - I really enjoyed it! Excellent service from the flight attendant in First, who gave me a warm welcome as a oneworld frequent flyer.

LAX-CUN
Lunch:
Entrée Salad with egg. (Other option was Beef Sandwich)
This was ok - the cauliflower was marinated in curry, which overwhelmed the flavor of the dish.

Both meals were delicious. The breakfast was very filling, as was the dinner. I know it has been mentioned before, but I can't get over the fact that it's a real filet! I would pay $35 in a restaurant and be happy. It's also great to see that even the disposable napkins retain the button hole.

The N and C lounges at SEA are currently open until 10pm. However, when I've been in there after 7:30pm the food pickings have been low. I've never seen wraps or some of the heartier choices, but usually SOME salad, soup, and snacks. Soup and salad can run low at times and it's taken a while to refill. That's my experience with evenings in the lounge.
None of the red-eye flights to or from Alaska are considered "premium" routes so the best you can expect is the snack basket although I did the much longer ANC-PHX earlier this year and only got beverages, no snacks at all.

SEA>FAI, 10:44pm, is 1528 miles, 3 hours, 51 minutes. I'd at least like a cheese tray somewhere. Hopefully the lounge in SEA will be open long enough for us to get a bite to eat there.
Should get some meal options on PSP-SEA. On recent PM SFO-SEA, I got choice of Bahn Mi Sandwich (which I think is my favorite so far of what AS has been offering lately), Beef Salad, or F&C plate for Pre-order.

Was in the N lounge in the late evening recently and didn't see any wraps or salads. Although they had Chicken & Wild Rice soup (another favorite) and Sweet Street Chocolate Chunk cookies which I hadn't seen before.

That's what I was expecting, unfortunately. I might get to pre-order the fruit&cheese for the PSP>SEA leg, but I doubt there will be anything for the late flight to FAI. And the lounge probably won't be restocking any food at that hour since they'll be closing soon. We're due to arrive in FAI around 1:30am and can get to the hotel quickly, I hope, for some good sleep. The hotel is supposed to have a very hearty breakfast, we'll need it!

If you want something heartier than what the lounge can provide before your flight to FAI, I'd highly recommend Bambuza in N, pick-up a banh mi, noodle, or rice bowl. It's my favorite food in the entire airport. Check the hours though, as it will close before your departure time, I'm certain of it.

Thank you, Bambuza sounds like our kind of place. Do the PSP and FAI flights usually operate from N?

It looks like it's varied over the last week between N and C, but looking at the schedules in September it seems that the flight leaves later out of PSP then. If you haven't gone into your actual reservation and confirmed the times, I would. You'll definitely be able to pre-order the F&C on the 1st leg, but it currently seems like you'll miss both Bambuza and the Lounge, according to what I'm seeing...

This is awesome. I am surprised by the menu. I always pre-order on my LAX-IAD flights, but haven't seen a paper menu on AS since covid.

Looks like the Roasted Chicken Clementine:

Boneless Roasted Chicken Breast marinated with Clementine and fennel, accompanied by roasted fennel and clementine slices, saffron basmati rice, and marinated Tuscan kale.

The Bambuza in N also takes Priority Pass, and you can eat pretty well for less than the $28/person of PP. I had a connection through SEA a couple weeks ago and went there since the AS lounges don't take PP anymore, and I could find any recent review of The Club in A, which is quite a hike from the C gates where I was going to be flying from.

Thanks. We do have Priority Pass, but it is through our Amex and they took away the restaurant benefits last year. We're in first class so we'll have access to the AS lounge and whatever other lounges the Priority Pass offers.

I think I‘ll need a transcon for that! You can’t really pre-order cocktails though, can you?
