Same day change-2 passengers, one 75K and one not

I regularly use the same day change feature as a 75K, but am usually flying solo. If we are two passengers travelling on the same PNR, do we both get all the 75K benefits? I know my partner will be on the upgrade list with me. Will I also be able to do a free same day change for both of us, since we are on the same itinerary?

nope, sorry, AS will charge a non-status companion $50 for the SDC

What if the itinerary was booked with miles?

hmmmmmm ... no experience with that, but it would seem that the 75K member could redeposit for free and rebook if the same award level was available

THanks. I am planning to use miles since my status has been extended for the year, but there is a huge variation in mileage cost. My normal approach would be to book the cheapest one on my preferred day and SDC. I guess I just need to add the $50 into the decision.

Also, keep in mind that AS is completely revamping its schedule constantly, so the probability your flight will stay as booked is almost nil right now.
If your scheduled flight incurs an important change, you can probably get the AS agent to rebook you on another flight of your choice at no charge.

same day change covers all passangers on the same PNR, I've taken advantage of this myself in the past:

The same day confirmed change fee is waived for MVP Gold Mileage Plan™ members and those traveling in the same reservation.
