Flew Korean on 10/3, miles still haven't posted to AS account. (I'm used to crediting to UA where partner miles post usually within 72 hours.)

Is this normal? Any recent DPs about how long it takes to post?

Thank you!

I'm lucky to get 72 hours on AS metal. Its not that abnormal for a partner to take over a week. AS wont take missing partner miles requests until 14 days (except AA which is 7 day wait)

I had three separate KE flights on September 9th, 10th & 19th. All three posted the same day on October 2nd. Give it another few days.

Does AS have issues with booking two awards on the same day with different partner airlines? Was hoping to get 2W seats from DFW-SYD but only 1 is showing and I was hoping that maybe QF would release another. However, in the unlikelihood that they don't I would like to lock in alternative options.

Question: I applied for a personal and business BOA Alaska Airlines Visa card yesterday. I was immediately approved for the business card, but the personal card is 'pending'.
I forgot to include my Mileage Plan number on the business card application, but I included it in the personal one.
Will my business card arrive with a new Mileage Plan number, or my existing number? I don't want two accounts and have to deal with the messy hassle of merging them later on (how is that even done?).

I called BOA yesterday to see if they could include my Mileage Plan number before my new credit card is printed, but the rep told me he's not allowed to modify an application that was already submitted.
I asked him the questions I'm asking here, but he seemed clueless, and told me to try calling Alaska Airlines for a solution.

Thanks

While I have not tried it, if I had a ticket SEA-SFO-XXX with second leg on an international partner carrier, given SFO ATC delays, it would be insane of AS not to allow me to travel on an earlier SEA-SFO if available.

Seeing something weird with the seat maps for AS1936 SFO-LAX tomorrow 10/18. We selected seats 4D and 4F when making the reservation, and that's what the app/website currently show us seated in. However when I go to the seat map there is no row 4 -- coach simply starts at row 6 and first ends at row 2 (aka one of the VX Airbus planes). I don't think there was an aircraft swap, nor did I think any of the old VX planes skipped row numbers like you tend to see on UA. Indeed, when I go to make a dummy booking on the AS website the preview seat map shows the same thing - first class in rows 1 and 2 and then coach starts at 6.

Also, oddly enough, neither the website nor the app actually show the specific plane type - it just says "Airbus Series"

Should I be worried here?

Did you originally have a different flight number? Because AS flights on former VX metal have been in the 1xxx flight number range ever since they started selling VX flights as codeshares before the SOC, and I only just in the last couple of days heard of an Airbus flight being scheduled in the 0xxx range.

Nope - it's been AS1936 since booking and on my confirmation email. And row 4 makes sense under the typical VX seat map where 1 and 2 are F, 3 is main cabin select/premium class (which I wasn't able to select at booking due to discount fare), and 4-onwards are elite/preferred seats

Oops, sorry--since you selected D and F, I'd thought you'd booked yourself into F but now found yourself with a cabin size slashed in half. You might want to call into AS and see about what your current seat status is; there have been a lot of reports here lately about people with exit row seats getting kicked back by the row renumbering, but I have no idea what they're doing with people whose row numbers don't exist anymore.

Sounds like it's not widespread so far, but definitely something to keep an eye out for in the near future.

I believe that same thing is what has triggered this thread: downgrade premium class

I would suggest calling immediately and seeing if you can have row 7 (the new version of row 4). I also wonder if canceling and rebooking solves the problem (if MVPG+)??

Thanks! I ended up finding another thread about it too and posted there. As a quick update, I called customer service and they confirmed it's the row alignment process at work. Unfortunately we couldn't figure out when exactly the change happened since there was no notification and all the good seats up front ended up being taken by others so they weren't able to reassign me to the "new row 4". That said, since the system put us into middle seats she did manage to get us aisles further back on the plane and gave us a $50/person credit for the inconvenience. Thankfully it's a very short flight so the new seats won't be a huge issue

Hello,

Question about MVP qualification.

AS website is saying that I am currently less than 500 miles to MVP, i.e. I have 24,4xx year-to-date Alaska/partner qualifying miles.

The 2018 flights are with partners only (CX, SQ, JL and EK) and breakdown is as follows:
- CX miles: a
- SQ miles: b
- JL miles: c
- EK miles: d / EK bonus: e

How are the 24,4xx calculated? Because when doing all the possible additions with a, b, c, d and e I never come to it.

NB: I did not put the actual figures for confidentiality reason.

Thanks!
