"Browine"? I know you hang out with a discerning crowd, but I have not heard of that winery. We should go there sometime BRO

I'm booked on AS678 SEA-DEN (7:55 p.m. departure with Snack that's more like Dinner) on Saturday; I guess this will be served. Looks pretty good to me.

I never cared for this meal. The other night I was flying aboard Virgin's First Class on the 9:00pm departure between SFO and SEA. Both a Protein Plate and a salad with beef strips were offered. Based on what I'd experienced with Alaska's version of the Protein Plate (What a name - sounds like something you'd order in a gym) I passed and had the salad which was excellent. However, the guy across the aisle from me ordered the protein plate and it was much nicer in both presentation and quantity than Alaska's. Most notable were a variety of cheese including Brie, mini-Pita breads, hummus, turkey and a good sized bunch of grapes. The plate was packed with foods and overall it was quite an impressive spread. By comparison - why does Alaska even bother?
BTW - nice job on all the reports, Mr. B! ^

I don't understand why they don't offer breakfast on these flights, to be served closer to landing.

That DEN-SEA report was the first time I've seen them plate potato chips....I know it's not as "fancy" but I think I'd prefer mine left in the bag
