I don't think the back massage was working up to it's full potential. I could feel the lumbar support changing a bit, but it was quite mild. Was very surprised by the recline of the seat and how nice that adjustable foot rest is. I can see why people are going to miss the product, but I can also see how maintenance of those seats must be a pain with all the moving mechanized parts.

Despite some up thread intel on 319 MX versus reconfigs....this 319 was just in for MX. Not sure at the timeline for the 319s.
However, I am pretty sure N640VA is in for reconfig. I flew it a couple of days ago....wifi doesnt work, seats are in bad repair (in fact we were delayed due to log book not being completed for the seat that needed to be repaired in Y) so i hope its in for a reconfig.....

I wouldn't doubt it... it's one of the older 320s that hasn't been revamped.
The track they flew coming in from Dulles is pretty comical if you go look at it on FlightRadar24. No idea what was going on there...

Flew one of the reconfigured A320-200s on AS 1380 SEA-SAN. The cabin interior seems a fair bit roomier than the extra six inches of fuselage width would imply. Then again, it has been ages since I have been on an A320 family narrowbody so...
I really like the new First Class seats. I am 6'2" and found the legroom in Row 1 to be fine - I was in 1C and you could stretch your feet past the bulkhead. The thin bulkhead meant the entryway was much more open and seemed to allow boarding to proceed a fair bit quicker as people were not funneled into the narrower aisle of the 737 due to the thicker bulkheads (due to the closests and galley storage).

Looks like N930VA is finally ready to make its way over the pond. I'm guessing it'll still be some time before it's in service, so they can install wifi or whatever else they might be doing at GSO.

It will definitely be interesting to see how it all plays out with the 737 Max situation. Given all the bad PR, and despite the close relationship with Boeing, I'd be surprised if they didn't take the A320neos or convert them into more A321neos. I read in one of Alaska's recent SEC filings that the A320neos have been deferred again to 2021 or 2022.

Im kinda wondering if they are going to return the 319s before reconfigurations. I heard a rumor that the 319s are departing back to lessors sooner rather than later.

I thought in the latest quarterly financial update they stated 3 airbus aircraft were being returned. I think I recall they mentioned some a319s were part of that.
