Thoughts about DEN?
Dang, was hoping to see PDX or SAN to DEN in these AS expansion announcements and thought the E170/175s are a great match for start up. I know some of the routes are, shall we say, overcrowded, from a carrier standpoint from DEN to west coast, but hope AS finds its customers clamoring for more DEN service in future.
Can't remember where I read that AS had an option on more gates at DEN on C concourse and was planning to increase presence - hope it comes to pass.

I think Horizon is in a trickier situation than SkyWest. They've been parking Q400s because they don't have crew. That problem seems likely to get worse as a big chunk of their pilots start flying new routes in E175s.

I know they've been trying to offer a 10K signing bonus...

Ditto on all the DEN posts above...frequently fly all over the West Coast and its damn near impossible to keep any status higher than MVP when they only fly to Seattle (and the fares elsewhere are outrageous to connect in SEA)...
I guess I can understand in the sense that there is immense competition from DEN-SFO/LAX/SAN/anywhere out West but especially PDX, still the glaring gap in the network

I look at it the other way - with the addition of more flights --> passengers, perhaps the TSA can justify staffing PreCheck EVERY DAY - at least until 10 - 11 am.
