requalified for MVPG on AA1689 today PHL-RDU
about 4000 miles of AS metal flying left, debating between crediting to DL to renew silver or take the RDMs and upgrades in AS program. even with crediting to DL i'll still need an MR, which isn't in the cards unless i make a quick day trip before Xmas. since i'm tired of flying for the year i'll likely just take the RDMs and let DL lapse for now.

Made MVPG on my sea-Ogg flight. I was lucky to be part of the roll over miles for next year, so with my last trip to Seattle This year I should start the years off with a little over 5000 miles toward status for 2017.

Got MVP with LAX-OAK on DL on 12/23 which posted today. Just thought I'd post since this is the first time I've gotten any status with any airline.
Also probably the last time for a while, with the decrease in AA earning and end of DL. I don't get paid to travel, only leisure and non-reimbursed conferences.

I was ~2400 miles short for MVPG at November. With nothing coming up, I booked a one day SJC-SEA-SJC-PDX-SJC MR on a December Sunday from Alaska credits (from a cancelled SJC-SEA-JFK business trip) to get the remaining miles.
Then a last minute business travel to China comes up in December. Booked onto CX's lowest fare, got 3457 EQM (50% of SFO-HKG) from the outbound which is more than enough, so I cancelled my MR and got the credits again.
Now I'm stuck in Beijing with some soon to be expired credits But I'm MVPG for another year, so I got that going with me, which is good.

My brother, myself and my Taller Half all made MVP Gold 75K this year - I hope we don't all have to compete for the same 0 seats in F.

When does one get a new MVP nomination? I got one after I was matched from AA Exp to 75k in January. I renewed 75k just a few days ago. Do I get to nominate someone now? Or wait until next calendar year?

I never got a formal "Click here to invite someone to MVP" link. I just stumbled on the page. I entered my number, their name and number. Few days later. They checked and it showed MVP.
Also, nailed MVP Gold today. 75k should be end of October but I'm getting nervous if I'm going to need a few segment runs. Only 29,878 for miles total this year.

MVPG 75k Shall I credit Flight in 2017 or 2018
I have moved up Elite Levels in 2017,I from MVP to MVP Gold and just hit MVPG 75k last month.
My status is now valid till end of 2018.
I have just completed an International Itinerary with BA in F which usually credits over 30K.
Seeing as I have my MVPG75k status till 2018, should I credit this flight in 2018 (if possible) for Elite re-qualification?
Alaska Mileage Plan is an Excellent reward program by the way!
