will not requalify for MVPG until December 12 but should make it with ease...left for this year is a one way SMF-SEA-PHL and a round trip SMF-SEA.

I should hit 75K with 90,110 miles on a Delta flight SLC-DEN 11/26. A couple of irrops (and corresponding mileage bump-ups) allowed me a lot more flexibility in my annual Christmas trip to Southern California. I might even fly United nonstop to Santa Barbara. I'd like to take AS but the schedules and prices are terrible to SBA.

I made fewer trips to ATL this year and will squeak by with MVPG status in mid December. I thought I would have to do a short mileage run, but made it happen by adding a few PDX connections for my remaining CA trips.

I've been MVPG the last couple years, but this year I will make MVPG75K for the first time. At 87k right now including partners, so I'll hit 90k after my Thanksgiving RT DCA-SEA!
But, ugh, I have no idea how I'm even gonna make Gold next year, let alone 75k. I won't have as much international business class travel next year as I did this year. But what's REALLY gonna hurt is the lack of good ways to earn in economy on partner airlines. All those AA flights I took earlier this year and got 100% for, now they'd only get me 25%.
Are there good threads in this forum where people are discussing strategies for getting status in 2017? There must be tons of other folks in my situation who love Alaska but earn a majority of their miles on partner airlines.

I'll requalify for MVPG somewhere over the Great Lakes on my way SEA-EWR this Thursday. Won't hit 75k, think I'm gonna end about 57k AS/62k partners.
I don't figure 18k of MRing is worth the 50k bonus RDMs.

Finally re-qualified this past week on a cheap DL P fare.
YTD Alaska miles
Flown: 44,259 miles
YTD Alaska/partner* qualifying miles
Flown: 91,119 miles
YTD Alaska/partner* qualifying segments
Flown: 71 miles
Better than last year... going to be much more difficult to get 75k when DL gets dropped, although will probably just redirect my AA flights now that AAdvantage stinks.
