Alaska can�t see and agents cannot ticket inventory using either internal Image or native Sabre - which is a change from a year ago where it was still ticketable via native Sabre bookings. Qantas and Finnair have both been able to ticket these for me lately. I am aware that these airlines run their PSS on altea but Cathay uses ATPCO to handle distribution of inventory to both Sabre and Amadeus. I don�t know enough about the agreements to conclusively say the reason Alaska can�t book these is on the Alaska or Cathay side. I have talked with a few engineers on the new flight search engine team that wrapped the legacy ascom res system and have gotten conflicting answers from them. I am not blaming this on Alaska I simply don�t know, but if you more information I�d love to hear it.

FYI in the last week I have been able to find multiple 85K J class on JX from west coast USA to BKK. They go quickly but they have been popping up again. Not as many as a month ago but this tells me that as the inventory crunch from Middle east carriers cancellations gets worked through, that the problem, at least with JX, was due to capacity being at all time highs. You can book JX though PHX, a new route, tomorrow for 130k in J.

I am starting to look at SAN-EZE for March 2026. Bit early, so I checked current award availability for February 2027; RT in J is on the order of 450k AA miles, AS has J for same dates of travel for 120k.

Another success story: booked 2 premium economy round trips JX SFO-SIN for 220k + $210 total. Applied my Summit 100K companion fare, so 120k for a two-person PE round trip (TPE-SIN-TPE legs are in Y). I don�t love being a cpp freak but it�s a $4,400 cash fare on Starlux�s website so 1.93 cpp before companion fare, 3.55 after, great reminder of why I stick with Alaska
