Fixed. Thank you.
It was in my book. I didn't have to find a place to sleep and a few bucks for some food improved my outlook on life significantly. If there wasn't a room then I would either drive back to Salem for the night or find some place on the floor to sleep.

Do VDB offers go here too?
PDX-GEG today 8/1, didn't get the flight number. GA started offer at $300 for VDB with promise of a seat arriving around 9pm so about 5-6 hour delay.

AS 2364 YVR - PDX
Flight cancelled, resulting in an arrival into PDX fourteen hours later (as YVR - SEA - PDX)
$250 per passenger
In addition, a hotel room and food vouchers were offered but I turned it down as I preemptively booked a place and we already had dinner plans that didn't involve dining at the hotel or airport. Upon hearing this, the kind agent asked for my email and told me that they'd deposit some miles in my account.

AS2571 EUG-PDX cancellation
3+ hour late arrival
$100 discount code, no proactive contact from AS, customer service response took 11 days.
Kind of puzzled as to how AS determines compensation. Is it up to each individual customer service agent? Last year for two different two hour delays, received $125 & $200.

Not a delay/cancellation, but seemed like maybe the best place to put this:
I flew a VX non-stop today. 6-7 hours after arrival, received an email:
I didn't try any Inflight Entertainment, but I definitely used the Gogo wifi with no trouble whatsoever, and I certainly did not make any complaint. It's a legit email (SPF and DMARC pass
), and a valid discount code based on a test flight search.
I might wonder if maybe someone else complained in flight and they got the seat number wrong -- I did switch from 2A to 2D at OLCI, but would be pretty astonished if that was the root cause. Also pretty sure I saw 2A and others in row 1 using the in-flight entertainment.
I won't look a gift horse in the mouth, I guess, but kinda bizarre.
