Well both CS and a Resv lead reviewed it as well as the passengers that did get upgraded and confirmed there was absolutely no reason that they should have jumped the entire list. If they could have reversed it they said they would have, but evidently they are no longer empowered to make changes.
Did CS offer a discount code for the failure? If not, post-flight I would write in regarding the failure. |

I am so damn over this broken ... upgrader. 4 seats open. 1&2 on the list. 3 Folks at the bottom of an 18person list just completely jumped the entire list.

Well, per the execs from the flyer forum they want to fix it. So, I hope CS/Res generated a ticket.

T-No discount offered other than an apology. I'll be sure to follow up after. IT Ticket was generated and I guess a bunch of information was added to it including the other reservations.

I’m on a 6 hour AS flight from JFK-SFO and we departed with 2 seats open in F despite having an upgrade waitlist. I would be even more ticked if nobody got upgraded than getting leapfrogged especially on a flight this long. I talked to crew and helped them figure out who should be upgraded next and got them get moved up after we were in the air but it’s so disappointing.

I'm at T-2 and the upgrade processor still has not processed my upgrade to F even though I'm No.1 on the list and U space is available. I called and after 45 minutes on the phone with res trying to get my upgrade to F they gave up and said to ask at the airport. Res said U space is available and I should have been upgraded before now; I know I'll get it at the airport but something is really off.

Agreed, most likely no shows that the gate didn’t bother to reassign than an upgrade processor error. Surprised they didn’t even upgrade the nonrev who ended up in emergency row. Really gotta fight for your upgrade benefits to be honored these days.

That same flight instead upgrading folks on the list to premium, they just put everyone waiting for a seat into it. Like Alaska really needs to improve the training.
Lovely. I think the appropriate compensation for that should be whatever AS charges for the upgrade, in cash. Why work your way towards status with PC upgrade privileges when you can just buy a Saver fare and get assigned those seats  Hope you filed a complaint. :(

I'm on a flight tomorrow ANC-FAI and the upgrade
If one is seeing U and not being offered an upgrade, check the full website. The offer may appear there, and one might not need to wait for the gate agent to process. Was able to select a preferred seat as a bonus.

Disappointing indeed, but that’s more so a gate agent failure than the UG professor as AS can and does on occasion let J go to gate control (not sure if U was available prior). Definitely worthy of an Alaska Listens.
Disappointing failure. Hopefully you take the time post-flight to write CC and have a ticket created. |

Its a Monday and the Upgrade Professor must be feeling good and relaxed. Everything is upgrading 2 minutes after the window opens. Its a little surreal.

This is likely because your FA yesterday diverted what was supposed to be the upgrade professor’s liquor to your multiple PDBs. 🤙🏻🥃
