Wamos returning to do NRT

The word on the street is that Wamos are coming back to help on the AKL-NRT route over summer.

Currently recruiting for crew if anybody is keen on a job.. Speaking Japanese is essential.

When I googled summer always refers to the northern summer. Seems to be a standardised reference for airlines. Its something like late March to late October.

Is that the old China Southern one? I've seen video of it recently on a trans atlantic flight and the interior is falling apart on it. it's as bad as the NZ 767's were at the end.

I believe it's NZ summer, there's an article on a site called 'aviacionline' which refers to Wamos recruiting staff for a route from NZ starting October 2025 requiring English, Spanish and Japanese language skills:
'Wamos Air launches cabin crew recruitment for new operations based in New Zealand'. (sorry I don't have enough post history to share a link ).

"The announcement, shared via the airlines official channels, specifies that selected crew members will be deployed to New Zealand for a period of three to six months, starting in late October 2025. A unique feature of this opportunity is the requirement for an accredited N2 level of Japanese, indicating a focus on the Japanese market or routes connecting to Japanan important source of tourists to Oceania."

thanks found it here: https://www.aviacionline.com/wamos-a...in-new-zealand

So far the flights are still showing as the 777-300s or the 777 ex-CX when booking.

It could be to start a different port other than NRT, or it could even be CHC-Japan - who knows!

I'd much rather take ex-CX or the QF-Finnair style operator than Wamos, felt like I was in a low cost eastern European operation than any airline...

Talking of which, if JAL won't come back to NZ, then I'd really like them to put ZIP Air on the route.

Would be interesting if the ex Wizz CEO becomes the new CEO to replace Foran.
