That would be quite a dramatic change in attitude. Wizz see staff training as a business leverage point. Foran, like most execs that have been tainted by the US business culture, see it as a cost. NZ IRROPS capability might actually improve for the first time in 25+ years!

Agreed, how much more efficient departures from AKL would be with some Wizz air polices.

Stephen Jones is a name that has been thrown around.. He hasn't popped up anywhere after leaving Wizz Air. He's already got the knowledge of Air NZ operations and was certainly somebody who was pretty well respected within the airline and the industry. He is somebody I'd be happy to see pop up in the CEO role.

No new Japanese carrier will be starting any NZL route until either the air traffic rights bilateral is negotiated to allow more than one carrier, or NH drops its codeshare off the NZ flights.

Does anyone have any updated intel on when/what flights Wamos will be taking over? Do you think it will be changing the NZ 777 or the ex CA 777?

Basically the same rule that was in play when the 763s were still around.

This A333 has PE though - with 31 BP seats, 48 PE seats and 185 economy it's an interesting cabin config with clearly very good opportunities for upgrades.

It'll be interesting to see how op upgrades pan out as that's a very premium heavy plane.
