I have some flights in business booked from Tokyo to Auckland as part of a trip to NZ from the UK.
When I look at the NZ website for the dates that I am travelling there are two flights. The order that it shows is like this:
NRT AKL 1845 0915+1 777-300er (Next to the business fare it says "lie-flat bed)
the second flight
NRT AKL 1430 0505+1 777 (Next to the business fare it doesn't say lie-flat bed)
The photos of the product also differ. One the first flight the seats face into the aisle. On the second the seats face the window.
Does any of this mean anything?
Is this a clue that the first flight might get the ex VS equipment?
Alex

AirNZ's original 777-300ER with seats angling in to the aisle. Same seat as VA 'coffin class', but actually a very good bed.
the second flight
NRT AKL 1430 0505+1 777 (Next to the business fare it doesn't say lie-flat bed)

Ex-Cathay pacific leased 777-367 with seats angling toward the window.
The photos of the product also differ. One the first flight the seats face into the aisle. On the second the seats face the window.

Of course, aircraft type swaps can happen between now and then, so don't lose too much sleep over this at present.

Checkin labelled AirNZ which is really the only time really need to know the airline. Don't go to Wamos checkin. Normally the operated by is for codeshare which indicates terminal and checkin.
It isn't a codeshare and carrying an NZ Flight Number at the airport.
