Back in the day the A320 CHC based crews were simply the best, the NZ flight numbers stated the same for well over 10 years. More recently this has changed and sadly they use a lot of WLG (and sometimes AKL) based crew for the CHC flights however I do know a few of the CHC lounge staff. I'm hoping they go back to a more regular schedule and crew but given the current schedule published they flights just don't work to my schedule and I'm more likely to connect via WLG or AKL if chasing Air NZ otherwise fly QF.

It may sound crazy but the only appeal now to the Air NZ flights is when they use the A320neos that have wifi meaning I can take a daytime flight and get work done otherwise I'd much rather take a QF flight.
