I have been in traffic jams at 1am in the morning in Auckland

The drive-thru at McD's or BK on a Friday/Saturday night doesn't count

Koru Club passes, told they had expired, looked like a group of 5 people with 1 KC member, i was walking out at the time so don't know more, when i did enter the lounge a colleague was trying to guest his mates, in which he was told the same, luckily i came to the rescue for the 2nd guest of his.

Do the Koru passes have expiration dates on them? If not, how can they say that they've expired? Really shoddy Air NZ.

I wonder if the new rules were a response to people selling their koru guest passes cheaply on Trademe? $5 a pass seemed to be about the going rate.

As a side note to this, it seems NZ has been issuing the NZ*E/NZ*G cards with incorrect data on the mag strip. Both NZ*Trout and I have encountered this - in both cases our expiry is 2001 instead of 2012, and occasionally this makes for headaches entering lounges (UA, LH, etc).

Seems NZ didn't realise that people actually use the mag data for stuff .

Overheard gate keeper at Koru domestic AKL tell a lady her guest passes expire end of August and said lady asked about her other passes and was told they are gone burger too.

I was probably there on false pretences too as I wanted to stay in AKL domestic Koru [inbound WLG] rather than go international airside to use international Koru for NZ2 tonight. There is some debate whether domestic lounge is available for international pax; T&C say no but scanner happy to take me in with green is go. Smile and win; scowl and lose.

When entering yesterday I overheard the attendant denying a group of 4 using guest passess. She said the information about the changes was mailed out? I asked her who was allowed what and as others have said in here Gold & Koru 1 each & Gold + Koru are allowed two.

They have added self serve heineken tap beer at AKL now too^

International or Domestic? I can see there was probably some push from a rugby sponsor!

Well, ^ for an improvement. But it really should be a decent NZ beer. A nice Monteiths Black, for instance.

I am not sure how recent this is but I was perusing airnztravelagent.com and came across this.

http://www.airnztravelagent.com/subm...he%20world.pdf

Quite a complicated matrix. I found the 3 guests in AKL, WLG, CHC and DUD interesting.
