That is only applicable for the french card? Because in the dutch website, I can't find the relevant clause.

Too bad for me 🤣🤣
Unless they have changed policies in the meantime, this does not chime with my experience. I applied for it with a UK address a couple of years ago and it was not an issue. The key issue was to have a French bank account rather than a French address.

Thanks
warning = based on some reports i read , as soon as you want to make an insurance claim they will find all kinds of excuses to reject it

I would be curious to know if anyone here had a chance to recently use this insurance and what was the outcome

Who knows if the representative made it up... they tend to "improvise" quite a bit... but I was told it was changed over the summer.

Also I should add, I was talking about an additional cardmember's address ALSO having to be French. That was most definitely not the case until very recently.

Well, one thing that has definitely changed is that now they will not accept travel delay/baggage claims until they are rejected by the airline. So one additional step has been added.

I would be most concerned about medical insurance abroad being declined as in many countries that could be horrendous.

I checked and could not find it neither. It would be safer to call to make sure the website is up-to-date.

You may get a feel as well whether this "improvement" is on the way in NL.

I understand then that the Amex insurance does not cover a booking if paid partially with AF-issued vouchers (originally from a AF-ticket paid with an Amex AFKL card)?

As others have said, indeed I can't find this either on the dutch website.
Let's hope it won't come to NL. If it does, then we will reconsider the card.

If the voucher *and* any residual value
were paid for using your Amex then it’s not a problem.
Again, this is what I have been told several times (and consistently received the same response… imagine that!)

I always thought you could have both the normal and fb amex and get a signup for both.

Looking at the terms, not so sure. Anyone can confirm this?

I had no problems claiming two bonuses but once it was a mistake (after downgrading to Gold I upgraded to Platinum and got another bonus by mistake)

Just a heads up; Amex NL now has an offer on their site where you get half price for the first year, double award miles (40k for plat) and extra XP (90 xp for plat).
