Flew back from MEX last Saturday and I was the only pax in P (reminded me the Covid times

Excellent trip despite the strong turbulences.
You really feel you're flying private when just by yourself in the cabin

At least you know why they couldn't give you the discount, if you are getting private jet service

Alone in LP is awesome. Flights this summer to/from JFK have been full or 3/4 and still pretty damn good. AF service has been top notch.

Same with SFO and especially LAX.

Looking at next week 8/15-8/21 per EF...
• LAX-CDG has only 12 P/F seats (only 1 F seat) available out of 56 seats (79% load)
• SFO-CDG has 23 P/F seats (9 F seats) available out of 56 seats (59%)
• Surprisingly JFK-CDG has 66 P/F seats (39 F seats) available out of 112 seats (41%)

Three of us are on the late SFO-CDG flight at the end of next week and sadly someone bought the last seat at full P.

Interesting KPI !
… and this does not take into account the paid upgrades offered a few days before the departure and as well at OLCI
If you look at regularly at availability within 48 hours before departure, you’ll notice that AF meets pretty good hit-ratio of upgrade offers even at almost 3000 $ on a LAX-CDG

That's too bad that someone bought the last seat.

Out of JFK, my experience has also been that a lot of seats are sold very close to/day of departure, so I expect that load % to spike.

PS is there a shortcut on EF to get those aggregate numbers or did you add them up day by day?

No, not that I'm aware of.
I added them up day by day. Slow day at the office.

Oh yeah, my CDG-LAX back four days later is already P0. At least I have 1A.

Would have to agree based on my experience. I booked my P flights two months before I flew them and I had false hope of an empty cabin until 2 weeks before my departures respectively out of JFK.

Is it always this busy throughout the year or only when it's summer/holiday season?

F to/from JFK the last few months (June/July/August) has been particularly busy. Not only AF but also LH, LX and BA.

My flight a few weeks ago in LP SFO-CDG was full. I snagged the last seat at OLCI.

Flew a full P 10 days ago and the service was amazing, really top notch except from a slightly bad scheduled hertz service from downtown Paris to CDG - I arrived at the lounge 40 minutes later than expected because of congestion at 7:30am at CDG. We literally spent the additional 40m in queue for 2E. If you get that service, please ask for some extra time, you never know I was able to get treatment from the spa (it was really needed), and I didn't remember how awesome the scrambled eggs were in the P lounge. Really perfect.
Yesterday I was in a very unusual AF69 LAX-CDG which departed with almost full J cabin and empty P. I didn't get upgraded to P, but I've got champagne, wine, and digestif from P proactively offered as one of the unofficial Ultimate benefits.

Sounds like SFO777 should have been on your flight as the only pax in P

$1,897.40 which I was pleased with. I have to say the experience was not great. The food was inedible, service was completely off, and there was an apology from the FA about neglecting me. For some reason the FA couldn't keep up with 4 passengers and none of us were particularly demanding.
