Routes that do not have fuel surcharges (YQ) when operated by carriers that normally charge YQ:
1. USA-Germany-Other country. If only the Germany-other country segment is on LH it does not have YQ. E.g. DFW-FRA-BLR with TATL on UA and FRA-BLR on LH.
2. USA-Canada-Other country. The USA-Canada segment on AC does not have YQ if the Canada-Other country segment is operated by a carrier that does not charge YQ. E.g. DFW-YYZ-ADD.

I assume flights are YQ-free for North America for Altitude members right? That would not include GCM so I assume the YQ is for YYZ-GCM-YYZ.

Booked the following for 7 (so in Y)
YUL-BOS-LAX-MEL (POT)
MEL-SIN-BKK (Stop) 23 hrs in SIN to see a few sights
BKK-ZRH (stop)
ZRH-YUL
Fees were $243.79 per adult and $184.69 per child plus the $30 booking fee. Only took me 5 calls to aeroplan after they charged me double the booking fees, calculated the taxes wrong, and dropped ticketed segments multiple times.
