You may want to re-post your question at the Hong Kong forum section (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=436). My experience for HKG's ground handling has generally been very efficient, 10 times better than YYZ. BTW AC ground service at HKG is no longer handled by UA and check in is no longer at aisle G.
I assume that you are connecting to another flight to CAN but there are also frequent direct coach service from the airport to Guangzhou, stopping at various hotels. Go to this link for further info:

Just to keep the statistic current for something to talk about in a year's time, AC015 on time performance for the period from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30, 2006:
Ontime 43 71%
Late 8 13%
Very Late 4 6%
Excessive 5 8%
Cancelled 0 0%
Diverted 0 0%
Total Flights 60
(Source: www.flightstats.com)
No information is specifically published for equipment swap, e.g., from an A345 to A343. However, AC appeared to be in a hurry to replace the A345 with the new 77W in priority over other routes.
We now have rough data from May to Nov this year for this flight.

I am sorry but I don't have the time to go dig this up and split it up into what you wanted. As it seems like no matter what I say about this flight, I am in a lose-lose situation as shown above so I rest my case. Arrival time and aircraft type is no secret, so if anyone doesn't believe me, you can start tracking today and then we'll talk about it again in 365 days.

I have been tracking the on-time performance of these two flights for almost a year now taking up the challenge of one of the posts here. Readers can decide for themselves the on-time reliability of these two flights. The 77L will replace the A345 and A343 used on this route with effect from August 1, 2007.
