You may want to re-post your question at the Hong Kong forum section (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=436). My experience for HKG's ground handling has generally been very efficient, 10 times better than YYZ. BTW AC ground service at HKG is no longer handled by UA and check in is no longer at aisle G.

I assume that you are connecting to another flight to CAN but there are also frequent direct coach service from the airport to Guangzhou, stopping at various hotels. Go to this link for further info:

No information is specifically published for equipment swap, e.g., from an A345 to A343. However, AC appeared to be in a hurry to replace the A345 with the new 77W in priority over other routes.

We now have rough data from May to Nov this year for this flight.
Just to keep the statistics current on AC015/016 so that we have something to talk about the real or perceived realibility of AC015/016 in 12 months, for the period from November 1 to December 31, 2006, the on time performance established by www.flightstats.com is as follows:

AC016
Ontime 34 55%

Late 9 14%

Very Late 5 8%

Excessive 13 21%

Cancelled 0 0%

Diverted 0 0%

Total Flights 61

AC015
Ontime 39 63%

Late 9 14%

Very Late 5 8%

Excessive 7 11%

Cancelled 0 0%

Diverted 1 1%

Total Flights 61

No information is public available if any flight was down graded from an A345 to A343.

Arrival time and aircraft type is no secret, so if anyone doesn't believe me, you can start tracking today and then we'll talk about it again in 365 days.
I am tracking the on time performance of AC 015 and 016 so that there will be something to talk about in a year's time.

Then you might as well post weather, airport problems, congestion issues, etc. Otherwise, the whole thing is bloody meaningless.

AC 015 and 016 Jan 15 - Mar 15, 2007 On-time performance

Flight AC 015 from January 15 to March 15, 2007 Ontime statistics posted at www.flightstats.com:

Ontime 30 50%
Late 11 18%
Very Late 4 6%
Excessive 14 23%
Cancelled 0 0%
Diverted 1 1%
Total Flights 60

Flight AC 016 from January 15 to March 15, 2007 Ontime statistics:

Ontime 36 61%
Late 9 15%
Very Late 6 10%
Excessive 8 13%
Cancelled 0 0%
Diverted 0 0%
Total Flights 59

I have been tracking the on-time performance of these two flights for almost a year now taking up the challenge of one of the posts here. Readers can decide for themselves the on-time reliability of these two flights. The 77L will replace the A345 and A343 used on this route with effect from August 1, 2007.
