If you've hit 75k, I think your 50k select benefits would have been chosen for you by the system. Are you not seeing that (is there no sign of your having received some 50k benefits)?

When did you hit 75k? It can take a few days for the select benefit thing to appear in my experience.

I don't think that's the case any longer. At least, I was able to select SE early recognition benefits in late November.

I hit 75k about 3-5 days ago? I got a bump even though I was a few hundred sqm short.

I did see the pop up for 50k but I put the selection off. I got an email to pick 50k benefits but not 75k. I dont see any signs of select benefits added on. Is there a default selection?

Bit when did you hit SE? If you hit SE before the cutoff, then you can still select. If I achieve a higher status after the cutoff, then I think I'm out of luck.

The flight that put me over was Nov 25th.

I hit 75K Dec 28th, could select my 2023 Benefits the same day. Now awaiting my 2024 selection opportunity.

Even better...You can choose WiFi now and then choose new benefits in a few weeks.

wifi will need to be activated onboard tonight or it will expire. If you're not flying, find a trusted friend or stranger to use your aeroplan credentials onboard.

So you didn't hit 75K. That might be the difference.

I called and apparently that's why. and because they bumped me before I can select my 50K benefits I can't do that either. What a weird system; could have used my 1500 sqm benefit for 50k and this problem would not exist

My wife made 50K mid-November, and was able to choose her benefits for early recognition.

Similar story here hit the requirements for 75K Dec 26th and it was recognized in app and on cowtool for all my bookings pretty much right away. I was also able to select my benefits the same day so I don’t think the October deadline exists anymore. I’d be curious to see what would happen if a flight at the end of December posted in the new year. My assumption considering aircanada IT would be no early recognition select benefits and no way to ask for them (if the level up even worked without manual intervention) but maybe it would give you an auto selection? Either way I’m glad I didn’t have to go through the hassle and potentially lost benefits of finding out.

Did someone else have this happen?

I’m currently seeing the option to select my 2024 benefits (75k up from 50k last year) but when I click this, the choices I’m presented with reflect early status recognition levels (1500SQM, 10eUpgrades) so I’m wondering if I should proceed with the selection or wait… since AC has already had me select my early recognition benefits twice in 2023… I’m wondering if this is an extra opportunity to get a few extra SQMs / eUpgrades before the actual 2024 selection… or if I’m just risking another bug in AC systems where my selection will seal my faith for 2024…

Maybe a question which has been answered before.

I started 2023 as 50k and chose select benefits in November 2023.

Today I received a retrospective SQM adjustment (+15,000) dated December 31, 2023 which tipped me over 75k in 2023. As of today, my status has been updated to 75k for 2024. I did not chose any 50k select benefits between Jan 1 and today because I was expecting this retrospective credit.

My question is, since I technically qualified for 75k in 2023 (but the points didn't credit until 2024), I was unable to chose early recognition select benefits in respect of my 75k status in 2023. Will I be able to select early recognition benefits for 2023 today, or will the system chose for me (and if so, what?), or have I lost out on ever claiming them?

I suspect you will never have the option presented to you. If you end up talking to a good AP agent/supervisor, they may be able to manually apply at least some of the benefits if you can explain your case. No idea if any system defaults will be applied.
