Code Red at YYZ Today
Hard to believe as I toggle back and forth between the MLL and Gate 137. The airport has been shut down due to thunder-storms (understood) but AC does not have a clue on what to tell pax. My flight 137 is still scheduled to leave at 1800 for YVR (it's now 1758), the display shows it leaving on time, the folks at the desk haven't got a clue of what's happening and the gate manager suggests staying in the lounge. At this late stage why not at least tell pax that there will be a delay? I'm probably missing something here.
AC seems to be continually unable to deal effectively with pax

The situation was pretty bad over YYZ for the last few hours. I just check the latest METAR/TAF and situation is coming to normal. The latest TAF shows that situation will be "fine" at 19h00.
I see by my windows that over YYZ now, it is blue sky surround by grey clouds over the lake.
Good luck,

I think it's affecting YUL as well
Sitting in the YUL international lounge, staring at my plane that is resting at gate 52. The plane has been on the ground for hours, and I've seen them load it up. For no explanation though, we've been delayed now by 1.5 hrs.
Me thinks it's because them pilots are still in YYZ

Can you guys perhaps throw some pilots into a cab and send them to YUL? Many of the flights here keep getting delayed as a result of YYZ weather.
Things are deteriorating rapidly: I just saw the last of the cheese go, and now the E's are sharpening spears to go hunting.
If the authorities turn up a corpse in a Beer Chang t-shirt, please tell my family that I love them...

This may overtake ALW's quote about lives of quiet desperation as the funniest thing I have read on FT.
