Or who have them and don't use them. The last television I watched was the 2004 summer Olympics. I've owned my car for over a year and haven't figured out how to program the radio because I rarely listen to it. I must be a weird exception. I get my news from the internet, newspapers, and magazines.

Weird exception? No.

Just plain weird? Higher potential of agreement there. ;) :p :D

=aw

Our rabbit ears get CBC, SRC, CTV, TVA, TVO, RQ, Global, TQS, OMNI2, OMNI1 (on a real good day), City (on a real good day), CH, and the channel that is replacing the NewRO (Channel A???).

So quite a few channels as it is -- I guess we don't watch enough tv to have cable. And in most cases, I'm generally glad that we don't fork out $30 every month for stuff we would never watch.

Ok, ok, I admit it. :D

How's that Shareholder? I didn't say I use a hacked card. I pay for this service each month!

Are you missing the CBC?

Missing the CBC? Where did it go?

The only CBC that has any relevance to me is the language profile on job posters.

Miss CBC-FM

I don't watch a lot of TV so I don't miss CBC; however that may change is this lock-out stretches until curling and hockey season start.

However, I really miss CBC FM. I loved listening to Jurgen Goth on my drive home every afternoon and now there's nothing worth listening to. I'm hoping that after a few weeks of the lock-out, the 2 sides will get together and actually negotiate a compromise. How's that for an optimist?

Other than news, you still don't watch any other TV programs?

No, not even the news. My wife watches a couple of programs a week (I'm not even sure what, because the TV is in a different room from my PC), but the TV goes for days without ever being used. That probably explains why I never use IFE, other than the display that shows the plane's progress.

I read a great deal, though. :)

Well then I assume you must at least watch several DVDs through your PC.....I mean........it can't get worse than that can it? :D

AnselmAdorne Aug 24, 2005 4:58 pm

Ummmm ... noooo, can't say that I watch DVDs very often. Let's see, the last movie I saw was Part III of Lord of the Rings.

I think post 34, above, applies. ;)

More Corrie Street please

I definitely miss the CBC news.

Add in Coronation Street and the occasional sports program (pretty much anything that the Toronto Sports Network wont air) and I would be just fine.

CTV news is crap.

As for radio I added XM satellite to my car and really enjoy the non stop music without commercials or DJ's

For those missing the CBC...

...CBC staff are planning alternate delivery

I miss CBC Radio 2 as that is where I get my fix of classic music. While I find Jurgen Goethe to be annoying at times, I do enjoy Disc Drive in the afternoons......
